What to expect on retreat

Each day on an Essential Nature Yoga Retreat includes hatha yoga (asana/phsycial practice and pranayama/breath work), meditation, chanting and Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation).

 

Your day will include time and space to explore the area, rest or enjoy time with like-minded people.

 

Throughout our retreats there are optional opportunities to share group walks and visits to truly beautiful and inspiring places that are great for local wildlife (such as minibus safaris to look for otters). ​​

 

All meals are provided and are vegetarian, plentiful and tasty....as they're home cooked by us.  â€‹

2025 Retreats

Glastonbury, Somerset, January 9-12

This 3-night retreat is set in the heart of Somerset at the foot of the legendary Glastonbury Tor. As well as enjoying your yoga practice there will also be time to further relax and unwind by making use of the heated swimming pool & steam room on site.

We travel to the Avalon Marshes to witness the spectacular starling murmurations - sometimes numbering half a million birds or more! And of course we’ll take a walk up Glastonbury Tor.

Iona, Scotland, May 10-17

Enjoy a 7-night retreat on this spectacular island, known for centuries as a place of deep peace and spiritual renewal.

​

Iona is known as a ‘thin place’ – a place where we are more able to connect with the peace that lies at the heart of our being.

​

Our practice includes time and space to explore and simply be on this magical island. We spend a day with thousands of seabirds on the Treshnish Islands (weather permitting) – famous for breeding puffins (the cost of this trip is extra).

Isle of Mull, Scotland, May 18-26

We spend 6-nights on this spectacular island. Alongside our practice we take time to explore the nature and beauty of Mull.

​

We spend a half-day with thousands of seabirds on the Treshnish Islands (weather permitting) – puffins are guaranteed! 

​

Mull is famous for its stunning scenery, otters, eagles and a host of other wildlife. We hope to show you much of this during your stay. 

 

£650-00 per person in a double or twin share or £725-00 in a guaranteed single room (shared facilities).

 

Does not include - all travel to and from Mull or the cost of the trip to Treshnish Isles. We often go out for a meal together at the end of the time and this too is not included in the cost.

Holme, Norfolk, September 8-15

This 7-night retreat is spent on the spectacular North Norfolk coast where we immerse ourselves in the beauty of this area - the beaches are almost endless and offer a great way to reconnect with ourselves and nature.

​​

The retreat is also perfectly timed for an early, but not too early, morning visit to see the truly spectacular high tide wader roosts that happen only a number of times each year.

 

You will see tens of thousands of birds moving in shimmering murmurations - it is truly one of natures wonders.

Northcourt, Isle of Wight, November 13-16

Enjoy a 3-night retreat at this stunning location on the south downs of the Isle of Wight where the nature and beauty of both the house grounds and the Downs, which overlook the sea, are literally on our doorstep.

​

The area is famous for red squirrels and in the autumn is renowned for gatherings of swallows with dolphins frequently being seen off this coastline.

​

We stay at Northcourt House a heritage property set in 15 acres of grounds. Our yoga sessions will take place in the old ballroom.

​
